Hello Families and Visitors to my page!

I have been teaching since 1990. In 2012, I became a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in the area of Literacy.  In 2022 I re-certified my NBCT status. I earned my B.A. Degree from The College of St. Catherine and my Master's Degree from The University of St. Thomas.  I have two adult children, 1 cat, and 26 chickens.  I've been married since 1993 to my best friend, Dan.  Some of our family call him, "Farmer Dan". My husband and I have a organic farm and up until last year we sold our produce, homemade jams/jellies, honey, eggs and maple syrup at a few local MPLS Farmers Markets.  I love my family and I love teaching.  I also LOVE to read, listen to audiobooks, cook, do puzzles, watch my chickens, do yoga, collect Monarch Butterfly eggs or caterpillars, and get a walk in as often as possible. I have taught grades K-6 in different capacities over the years.

Kindergarten is a wonderful year for children.  We will all learn so much together and have great joy while doing it!

My “HOPE and DREAM” for this year is for our class to learn to joyfully accept our mistakes and successes…to see mistakes as a way to learn and grow.
