Staff Profile

My name is Re Wahlay Daw, but you can call me Ms. Re. I am delighted to be a part of the Husky Community! This will be my forth year in education, and I teach English as a Second Language to 2nd and 3rd graders.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English as a Second Language from the University of Northwestern - Saint Paul. An interesting fact about me is that I was born in a refugee camp in Thailand. I moved to the United States when I was 8 years old, and the first school I attended here was Hancock Elementry (Hamline Elementary). It's fascinating to me that my journey has come full circle—my first professional teaching job was also at Hamline Elementary!

I'm passionate about helping students navigate the challenges of learning English, just as I did. I'm looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growth with all of you!
