Hello, Hamline Families! My name is Amanda Jagdeo and I love being a part of the Husky community. I use the pronouns she/her. The 2026-2027 school year will be my 17th year in education. I have Bachelor's Degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University, an Education Specialist degree and K-12 Principal License from Hamline University. I have had the privilege of teaching students across the country from Prince George's County, Maryland, where I taught Pre-K and 2nd grade, to Richmond, California, where I taught kindergarten. I have also had the opportunity to coach teachers across the country and have been a lead kindergarten teacher in Northeast Minneapolis. I am originally from Minnesota and I am thrilled to have the chance to expand my community connections so close to home. When I am not at school, I love to read, go for runs, and eat delicious gluten-free foods. You might even catch me walking my dog, Torii, around the Midway neighborhood, or working on my garden at home!

Please ensure students arrive at school no later than 9:20 so they don't miss anything! If students arrive after 9:40, please plan on walking them into the building and staying with them for breakfast!
