Staff Profile

Welcome to Ms. Sharon’s Pre-Kindergarten Classroom at Hamline Elementary. This year will be filled with lots of learning and fun as we work together in creating a great preschool experience for our learners!

The 2025-2026 school year will be my 30th year in education. I have a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Mankato, MN.  I have taught Pre-K and Early Childhood Special Education, as well as coached teachers in district #197. I have also tutored, coached and trained with Minnesota Reading Corps. I have been married to my husband, Dave, for 39 years. I have two grown children, son Dan (wife, Laurie, and grandsons, James and Callan),  and daughter, Jess. I also have a dog named Carly. I love to be outside, walking, biking, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or gardening.
