College begins in kindergarten – or even before! Our campus is just across the street from Hamline University, which partners with our school at every grade level. With an atmosphere fully focused on college preparation, our students make their first campus visit in kindergarten.
More than 100 mentors and 120 tutors come to us directly from Hamline, which also provides academic pairings in theater, music, science, anthropology and law. Read more...
We believe that College Begins in Kindergarten. Hamline Elementary has formed a close relationship with Hamline University. Students and educators at both schools work together, build relationships, attend events, and share facilities.
Hamline Elementary offers specialty classes in Science, Physical Education, Social Studies/Art, Music and Technology.
Hamline Elementary is harnessing the power of digital technology in support of student achievement. Working together with the Verizon Foundation and ISTE our teachers are using technology to maximize student achievement.
Our programs and services allow us to diversify our program for every student. They range from developing enrichment programs to expanding learning opportunities.
I am honored to be the principal of Hamline Elementary School. I have worked in the Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) since 1995 as a teacher, curriculum specialist, coach, assistant principal, and administrator. My personal goal is to lead a school that is life changing for the students of the SPPS.
